Well, I guess it’s good I’ve had mostly funny moments up until now, because now, finally, these next two are quite possibly the two saddest moments I’ve ever encountered in anime. I suppose Fuko’s arc in Clannad came pretty close, and probably overall is a bit sadder than this moment today, but anyway, I had to watch through it again tonight to get these screencaps and it still brings tears to my eyes.
Yes, that’s right, I’m a Shirley fanboy, and I’m fuckin proud of it.
Mao was right, Lelouch really knew what to say to her, and my first time watching through it, I was glad she ended up coming to her senses in a way.
But at this point, I literally screamed out, “NO LELOUCH YOU CAN’T FUCKING DO THAT!!!!” Fucking hell, that was not the way to handle it. Argh, I just could not believe he did it. I know he wanted to protect her, but did he really need to erase all of her memories of him?
And that’s why you should have helped her overcome it, not with Geass, but with her own willpower and with your support. Lelouch no baka
Ah, Shirley, you’re wonderful, why oh why did you have to get involved with Lelouch T_T
And you know, listening to Masquerade while trying to type up this post really isn’t helping. It’s songs like these that I love and hate at the same time. I love them for being so powerful, yet hate them, because they are so powerful and can have such an effect on me.
Alright, time to go cry myself to sleep.
