lolcheating again~ This ‘moment’ is actually about as long as one full episode, but it starts near the middle of episode 7 and ends (sorta) near the middle of episode 8.
Well, when I first watched through Claymore, I was kinda curious who Teresa was. I didn’t realize it was in the past though, until Teresa named Clare (even though that apparently was her name already anyway). Then it started to actually make sense why we were spending a huge amount of time with Teresa. At first I thought Teresa was a rival or something of Clare’s, especially given that in the opening they are clashing swords.
But, it turns out Teresa was the reason Clare got involved with Claymores in the first place. Shocking how it parallels what happens with Clare and Raki. Ok, I lied, it’s not shocking at all, it’s very typical, but all the same, Teresa is a fucking badass, so I can let it slide.
As you might be able to tell, Teresa is hands down my favorite character of Claymore.
So, I can’t really think of anything to say other than “Teresa is fucking awesome” so I think this is just going to devolve into a giant image spam with me fanboying over Teresa.
For whatever reason, I always seem to be drawn to the type of characters who are so powerful that they really just do whatever they want. They’re so badass that they can get away with it, just completely smashing anyone who tries to oppose them. Teresa was a great example of this, completely defying the organization and taking down the top four of the elites. Teresa is so good she can fucking take out the top four elite members of the organization without even using any of her powers, now that’s fucking awesome.
Also, in a way, I feel like Teresa is kinda like Schneizel. She’s totally schneizeleffort when fighting the four best warriors out of the organization.
She only finally actually strikes a blow when she’s about to get hit, and even then she doesn’t just slice Irene in half, she just gives her a good enough trashing to leave her unable to move. That’s as schneizeleffort as it gets, but it’s also pretty badass too. It’s like saying, you’re not worth killing, you’re not even worth fighting.
But Teresa does finally go on the offensive when the two annoying bitches keep coming. She could’ve even cut Sophia in two, but I guess she figured she’d react in time to at least avoid getting completely killed.

Biggest mistake of your life, Teresa. I’m pretty sure Clare wouldn’t have cared if you had killed Priscilla even right in front of her eyes, to be honest. She didn’t seem to care that you wiped out an entire group of bandits, in fact, she was so happy you came back and saved her. Tch, silly things like that hold you back, Teresa.

I will say one good thing about Priscilla, she finally made Teresa go SRSBSNS mode and showed us how fucking badass she really was.

Ah, but Teresa’s overwhelming power and arrogance that comes with it would be her undoing. It’s a shame she let her guard down, I saw it coming from a mile away, but oh well. I guess it was kinda needed for the story, but I was still rather sad to see my favorite character bite the dust that easily and that quickly :<
Ah, the possibilities. WTB spin off series of Teresa’s feats when she was rising to power. I’d love to see how badly she smashT Awakened Beings, that’d be so amazing.
