Theme Change!

Nope, you’re not in the wrong place, I just got bored of my old theme. I was especially tired of the goddamn date/tags taking up a huge column of space when you selected a single post. So, I finally found something decent that everyone else in the world doesn’t seem to be using. I was also getting kinda tired of that black, so yay, it’s a bit brighter over here now too.

    Why not just create your own blog outside of WordPress? That’d make it much, much more easier…

    Well, first, because I’m lazy and wordpress makes things easy. Second, I don’t have a host, nor am I really visited enough to need to go to such measures. If I were a bit more invested in blogging, I might consider it, but I’m not sure it’s really worth it for someone like me.

    True, I guess. But uh… you can always get free hosts… like the hard-to-get animeblogger.net or something.

    Seriously I can host you a subdomain for one of my hosts… but its domain name is pretty weird. No it’s not usakochan.

    Yeah, I looked at animeblogger.net way back when I was first going to make a blog, but ended up on wordpress, since most of the people I knew were also on wordpress. Plus it looked like a huge hassle to try to get a blog over there, as opposed to being super easy over here on wordpress~

    If I ever feel like taking it more seriously, I might do something more, but right now, I just don’t feel like it’s all that worth it. I’m not really some brilliant blogger, just an average fan who likes to write down his thoughts.

    Oh and, setting up a WP blog is relatively easy… including when migrating a blog. I guess the only hard part would be if you had 100+ images and are trying to import it.

    Haha, you clearly haven’t seen one of my Toradora posts then. I have plenty of 50+ image spam posts. But yeah, I just really can’t be arsed to put in the effort, not to mention I’d have to tell everyone to redirect to whatever new place I get set up with.

    Maybe if I feel the urge to code something outside of school work again, messing around with a blog CSS could be something worth spending the time on. I have always wanted to make a theme that’s a bit wider. All the fixed width themes are so small it’s frustrating :|

    Ah! My eyes….it..BURNS! I mean..sweet. Sounds like you’re contemplating on moving to self-host WP.

    Try messing around with CSS first here in WP. That’s what I did. If you ever get to the point where CSS alone can no longer get you anywhere, then migrate to a self-host WP.

    Btw, I’m migrating later this month and I’m happy to share hosting with you, along other anime bloggers.

    That’s a nice theme :) White backgrounds are better for readability :)
