Well, I’m still a little bit puzzled. I watched 24 episodes of Chobits. And then I realized that MAL says there’s 26 episodes. But, I saw the conclusion, the 26th episode, even though it was called the 24th episode. So, what the hell did I miss? Can anyone fill me in here?
I’m guessing they were filler episodes or something, but I hate not having seen everything. But I’m also not about to try to match up episodes until I come across the ones I haven’t seen. EDIT: Haha, totally lied there. Looks like I missed out on episode 9 and 18 (or was it 19?). Anyway, yep, they were recap episodes, so I guess it doesn’t really matter. Almost no new material from what I saw. At this point though, I’d even take filler, because more Chii, Sumomo, and most hopefully Kotoko would be very much welcome.
But anyway, I’ll say what I can about what I did see, for now. Well, what can I really say? The whole story was full of so much fucking kawaii and moe that I was about to have a heart attack every episode.
I have to admit, though, I was slightly disappointed in the way that it ended. First, well, the ‘bad’ guys were really pretty lame. But I thought Chii was supposed to be the supercomputer, so why we she able to get taken down so easily by Dita’s connection, even if it was direct. I thought Chii was the one that could wipe out tons of other persocoms anytime she wanted. Not to mention how quick the whole ‘fight’ was. It hardly felt like a fitting end.
Also, it felt kinda lame how the final boss ended up really being Hibiya. I can’t believe she actually gave the order to erase everything. What the hell? Well, I guess, as they say, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Anyway, when Freya said that Chii chose to disappear, because she would just hurt Hideki if she stayed with him, my RAGE from countless other exactly similar situations boiled over. Sigh, seriously, why do people do that? Oh well, in the end, Chii makes the right choice and goes SUPREME MODE. Which I guess makes all the other persocoms in the world suddenly get feelings? That was kinda weird, and unexplained. But oh well, Chii and Hideki live happily ever after, the end, yay :3
I know I should totally discuss my thoughts on whether I could fall in love with a persocom or something, but I can’t be arsed. I think I could, but I doubt it’ll be something that happens in my life anyway, so I’m not going to worry myself over it.
I guess I should also try to continue to search for those damn ‘missing’ episodes.

There are actually 27 episodes, plus a little mini episode (called “Chibits,” about Kotoko and Sumomo). Maybe you’re missing episodes 9 and 18, which are just review/flashback/let’s-talk-about-what-happened-in-the-last-8-episodes episodes. Episode 27 is the same way, pretty much.

Yeah, I’m gonna have to search around for that Chibits episode, looks like it has lots more of Kotoko :3

The Chobits manga has a better ending that actually makes something that is otherwise just seems like a ridiculous add-in actually relevant. It’s awkward, but it’s good and it makes a lot more sense. It doesn’t warp any of the character’s personalities either.
So you thought it was cute, right? You have fallen for the adorable CLAMP adorableness? Watch CardCaptor Sakura then. Watch it~ (Then watch Kobato when it airs in Fall too)

Haha, alright, alright. But the only thing I can find is streams and I hate watching streams :< But I’ll try to sit through a few and see if I can get hooked.
