Well, I’m still not sure what to think of this show. But I do know, for sure, who my favorite character is. So this post is dedicated to Rina-chan~

Have you heard the story about the last person to cross Rina-chan? She not only sent them up for 10 years, she had the bank seize their house and bankrupted their brother-in-law’s tractor dealership. She doesn’t just take out your knees, she ruins your life and the life of anybody you know.

This bitch has claws, fangs, and a spiked tail and she knows how to use them. And she’s got a hide thicker than that of a rhino. Step back, lest you get trampled by the beast that is Rina-chan.

As you see, my bias is already well formed just from the first episode. Rina-chan is a ruthless and cunning bitch, and she knows how to put her fucking foot down. DO NOT CHALLENGE THE RINA-CHAN.

In other news, Fujii is pretty much a useless piece of shit. Oh man I need monies, but I’m not going to take money when I worked at a bar, because I didn’t serve anyone, so clearly I should turn down easy money, even though I’m broke. What a faggot. At least when Hideki turned down money, it was because he wanted Chii to spend it on what she wanted. Fujii is just plain fucking retarded. So, instead of taking easy money from a job where he actually worked, even if all he did was stand around watching the bar, he goes and has the gall to beg his dad for cash. You deserved to be hung up on, bitch. Rina-chan would certainly approve.

Anyway, I’m guessing my enjoyment of this series will be entirely dependent on how much screen time Rina-chan gets and how much ass kicking she gets to do. I don’t know much about where the love triangle is going and who all is involved, but it’s looking more like a harem now. What with that Misaki-san, who at first I thought was a teacher, the butch/sporty chick Haruka (god she’s annoying and unattractive), and Sunohara the sidekick who never gets any of the girls but is just there to bitch to Fujii about how life is unfair. It’s a bit sad that I actually don’t want Rina-chan to win the harem game, because she deserves someone so much better than Fagjii. Like me.

Ahem, right, so anyway, I’ll keep watching for a bit longer. If Rina-chan becomes the focus of the story, I’ll definitely keep watching. Hopefully we get to see Rina-chan doing more than just baring her fangs at the Sakuradan. Mmm… Rina-chan in a catfight would be glorious amounts of win.

EDIT: Oh hey, I knew I’d have a brainstorm eventually about this anime. Everyone has problems, everyone has issues. What’s fun is seeing how they manifest and then finding out what happened to bring about such a manifestation. What does White Album do? Shows you a few of the issues, and then gives you a flashback to instantly explain all the issues away. White Album: UR DOIN IT RONG! I hate to keep referencing True Tears, but I loved the way it handled the personal issues of pretty much all of the characters. It wasn’t just thrown at you like chicken feed and then explained by a shitty flashback or exposition. It was like a seductress, slowly unbuttoning that blouse, ever so sweetly teasing you with details here and there, making you want more.

Wow, my mind is so warped. Getting back to White Album, the fun in watching anything is finding out things about the characters. Not having it all thrown at you in the first 15-20 minutes of the episode. That’s boring. That doesn’t feel rewarding. And that gives you nothing to talk about in between the drama and rabu-rabu. That’s why Rina-chan is the most interesting character so far. She’s this takes no shit, ass kicking idol, apparently following in the steps of her father, but that’s all we know. It makes me want to know more. I want to know how she got to be so strong. I want to know why she decided to follow in her father’s footsteps. I want to know why the hell she’s helping a twit like Yuki.
