Well, I had a feeling that after the high of last episode, the second episode would be a bit of a lull and then end on a cliffhanger or something, but I was completely mistaken. Although, in my Unlimited Rewatch Works, I realized that in the first episode they only finished the first game and Saki said she promised two games in return for the book, so I was wondering if they’d play the second game.
You know, I try this all the time, but I always just end up losing. I wonder why that is.
Hahaha, I’m so easily amused. This was absolutely hilarious.
Yeah, I’ll say. Especially with how much of mahjong is based on luck.
Then again, with that kind of luck, I don’t really blame her.
Then you better take it back by force, Yuuki!
I’m starting to agree with Mako, she’s just too ungodly lucky.
I still don’t get why Yuuki has a fang but it’s fucking adorable anyway.
Poor Yuuki is getting clobbered no matter what she does.
Yatta! :3
And this is the definition of /facepalm. Leave it to Yuuki to give Saki her chance to win. I’m just going to ignore the fact that she was completely oblivious of it.
I think this is one face that wasn’t supposed to be funny but has me laughing hysterically. The grin on her face is just too funny.
*cue overly dramatic tile drawing with lightning effects*
What a travesty D:
STAY SMASHT! Poor Yuuki and Mako, they were just feeding Saki and Nodoka points.
Oh yes, the yuri is strong with these two.
She’s taking your role, Zero- I mean Kyoutarou. She’s basking in the glory of the yuri, after carefully masterminding the whole thing. Well done, Student Congress President.
Well there’s the fanservice I’ve been expecting. The first episode was Saki in a room of fog, this time it’s Nodoka. Will next episode be Yuuki? Or maybe Mako or the Prez?
/headdesk C’mon you can’t even get that much right?
Zzz~
*cue dramatic entrance* Takei: KEIKAKU DOORI!
Who interrupted Yuuki’s sleep? -.-
And so it begins.
Oh my god cutest ending of the season. Fucking d’aaaaw :3
So, that didn’t exactly take much to talk Saki into joining the mahjong club, but I didn’t figure it would. I mean, her yuri heartthrob is in the club after all. The part that kinda surprised me was getting Saki to want to win. Well, first of all I wasn’t sure if Saki was going to be useful with her skill to earn plus-minus zero or if she’d have to overcome her years of going plus-minus zero to try to win for once. But once they tried to get her to win, it didn’t take much. I mean, Takei had to kinda trick her into winning by making her think she was down by 33,000 points, but once she actually won she seemed to get over the fact that she won pretty quickly. And really, that’s actually kinda fine with me. I’d rather her get over it quickly so we can have more crazy mahjong antics rather than have Saki and the other members angst over trying to get her to want to win. It may not have been the best way to handle it, but it doesn’t bother me enough to detract from the fun of the series.
Anyway, the second episode was even more fantastic than the first episode, something I was totally not expecting. I enjoyed it even more this time around and now I’m really excited to see what we have in store for us next. It looks like a rather calm episode next time, with maybe some more focus on Nodoka. Not exactly thrilled with the prospect of more Nodoka, but oh well, as long as there’s enough Yuuki and crazy faces, I’ll manage somehow.

So what, Saki actually won? Damn. Now I have to wait for my weekly run of Saki impatiently. :\

@Panther: Yep, she actually won this time. Takei tricked her by making her think she was down by like 33,000 points or something absurd and telling her to play as if she was trying to get back to plus-minus zero, but she didn’t actually take away the points from her table, so she ended up winning huge.
