I suppose this weekend was catch up weekend or something. I finally got caught up on pretty much everything that I actually want to watch. I blame episode 5 for being pretty much just fanservice. Not that I mind fanservice. Hell, if I minded fanservice, I wouldn’t have made it past episode 1, but I just felt like episode 5 was boring as hell. Anyway, enough ranting, on with the fun~
Haha, this is the best way I’ve heard Nodoka described.
So, joking about Nodoka’s giant bags of fat aside, we finally get to the nationals. Or wait, no we don’t. Apparently it’s just the qualifying rounds to get to the nationals. Jeez, if there’s such a strong opponent just in the qualifying rounds, how bad are the nationals going to be?
Yep, but not to worry. As Konata said, there’s a need for your type as well, my delicious little loli :3
Sure is some furious blushing going on recently.
Like I was saying… well, I can’t say I didn’t see a bit of a hint in this pair too, but wow, they are really pouring the yuri on thick in Saki. Excellent.
I like this version of Nodoka way better. It’s much better than the giant balloon version.
Why hello there innuendo.
Tsuntsun~
Deredere~ Just remember Nodoka, your reward is you get to do it with Saki if you win the qualifiers. Surely that must have you really pumped up, right?
d’awwww~
Well, I’m so glad I made it past episode 5, because episodes 6 and 7 were awesome. Finally we got some real playing in and could see how the girls did against players other than just the ones in their club. Yuuki seriously needs to have some emergency tacos on hand at all times though, so she doesn’t ever run out of taco energy. Anyway, one thing I realized just now as I was writing this, that guy in the Ryuumonbuchi (I think that’s how it’s spelled) team, how is he allowed to play in the team tournament if Kyoutarou isn’t? Or is he a reverse-trap? I’m pretty sure Jun is a guy’s name, but I suppose it could be an alias. I just find it really weird that right after they say all that about Kyoutarou not being able to compete that they have a guy in the ‘final boss’ team of the qualifiers. Not that they’d likely take Kyoutarou anyway, because apparently he sucks, but still.
To go back a bit, I was kinda surprised when all the Ryuumonbuchi team members felt that weird aura around Saki. I wonder if it only happens when she’s alone, because they said they didn’t sense anything when she was with Nodoka. I’m also a bit surprised that Saki didn’t really sense anything. Surely those guys were as tough if not tougher than the pro she went up against in the cafe, so why didn’t she feel anything?
Anyway, weird mahjong power level sensing aside, the mahjong was actually pretty awesome to watch again now that they are playing for keeps. I just wish they had hurried along with this episode and gotten to more mahjong playing with this episode. I can’t wait to see how this goes, but I get the feeling the finals to this qualifying round will be stretched out over at least 3 if not 4 episodes. Which means it’ll take forever for us to finally see the might of this Amae Koromo and see how she stacks up against Saki. But anyway, as long as there’s plenty of crazy over the top mahjong action, I think the next few episodes will be a blast. Gah, why must we wait an entire week for more though?!

A reverse-trap according to the manga, if I remember.
