Gonna go ahead and jump right over episode 9. As much as I love my lil taco loli, nothing really all that impressive happened. Geass girl opened her eye and played everyone for a fool and that was about it. This episode, however, had tons of fun stuff happening.
So, my question has been answered by the anime! With all the other crazy stuff like mahjong power levels and taco power ups, I kinda just glazed over the fact that Ryuumonbuchi’s Jun is sorta a reverse trap. Not that she’s doing much to try to convince people, but it really threw me off once I noticed it. It probably just blended all in, because she uses ‘ore,’ which I’ve never seen a girl use. There’s plenty of ‘boku’ girls, but I’ve never seen an ‘ore’ girl before.
*cue love making music*
I just know Zyl’s having a field day putting together tons of screenshots of this scene.
If I actually ever played mahjong in person, this would be me. Games of chance like this are not my forte. I don’t have the strategic mind to look into the future and consider what might be coming or what moves other players will make. Yeah, I suck at chess too. Anyway, I would probably totally throw Mako off too, because my discards and calls and such would be so way out of left field that people would be wondering if I even knew the rules.
“Oh is that good?” Yeah, that’s definitely me. Oh and I knew her voice sounded familiar, if you’re curious, it’s Shintani Ryoko, who voiced Sachi in Maria Holic (among other things with which I’m not familiar).
Hahaha, I’m really starting to love the Ryuumonbuchi mahjong team. They have quite the team of characters in their group. And we definitely need a small gif of Touka’s super ahoge twirling around and around in an infinite loop. Make it happen, Zyl! (Or Kabitzin, if you’re watching this)
Ah, these silly faces never cease to amuse me. Yes, I really am that simple.
And speaking of ‘boku’ girls, we have one right here in the Ryuumonbuchi team! Yuuki step aside, Hajime is my new favorite loli in Saki now.
Oh my god what is this I don’t even…
Well, I have to admit, even though Hajime is my favorite, Koromo is pretty goddamn adorable in her own right. It’s just a shame that Ryuumonbuchi is gonna end up having to lose in order for Kiyosumi to continue on to the nationals so Saki and Nodoka can make love use the power of yuri and mahjong to talk to Saki’s sister.
Don’t worry Hajime, I trust you :3 I’m sure we’ll get to see what exactly happened that caused her to get a reputation for cheating in the next episode, but all the same I can’t help wonder what it was. My poor little loli has to be chained up so that people will trust her not to snatch tiles or whatever T_T
Ponytails = srsbsns mode ON
Uh oh, looks like we’ll be getting two of the girls’ histories next episode. I’m even more curious to hear the background behind Hisa. Left the tournament before the last round, getting herself disqualified. Changed her name, went to a completely different school and started up another mahjong club. Gah, why must Saki be so awesome, each episode delivers but I keep wanting MOAR
Haha, oh shit, time for Hisa to make a comeback. That girl from Kazekoshi is about to be utterly clobbered. I just hope Hajime can stay out of the line of fire :>

Sorry Naz but I’ll pass on making the animated gif – I’m not a fan of Touka.

That’s too bad :< The Ryuumonbuchi team is actually pretty awesome. Even Touka isn't as stereotypically annoying as most ojou-sama characters tend to be.
